How to choose the right worksheet
Match the worksheet to what your child is doing now, not to their age on paper. The ages below are a guide, so start where your child feels confident and move on when it feels easy.
- Ages 2 to 3: start with scissor skills, pre-writing lines and picture matching.
- Ages 3 to 4: add name tracing, shape tracing, shadow matching and counting worksheets. Our preschool worksheets page groups them.
- Ages 4 to 5: move on to letter formation, number tracing, beginning sounds, patterns and mazes.
- Ages 5 to 6: try missing letters, CVC words and number tracing to 20. See the kindergarten worksheets page.
